I know this has been asked 1,000 times and it looks like this M2 has the real elevation/ windage knobs.  The mount looks real , but the lens covers look questionable ?   Is there enough to tell  from the 9 pics in this add if this Aimpoint is Real or Fake ?

Not positive, but it looks like it says "made in Sweden".....I would pass.

ETA: The "Made in Sweden" is how the military ones are marked. The consumer ones do not have that on them.

I've seen covers like that in the aftermarket that were sold as Gen Aimpoint, and from the packaging it looked like a legit product.
The mount looks good, I've never seen the aimpoint factory mount faked well.

I'd ask for a serial number to call Aimpoint with.
Failing that... use paypal so you can file a "significantly not as described" dispute if it turns out to be fake.

STAY AWAY!!
It's real, but it is also most definitely stolen US government property.

Agree that it is real.  It is a lightly used Aimpoint in the plain white box as supplied to the DOD, not retail sale.  That said, how did the seller get it?  Do you want to own gear you can not get serviced?

There's ways to get the white boxes.  I know of a previous unit who gave away a literal conex full of the white boxes and some of the stuff inside them (carry handle mount, etc).  Just b/c you see a white box, doesn't mean its stolen.  However....it does make it more likely

Agree.  I have gotten many KAS M4RAS boxes out of green trash boxes that had the old oval M4 guards and all rail covers and KAS grips in them as the units did not want this stuff so I know what you are talking about. BUT you are also correct that it makes it MORE likely this is a .gov optic since the optic is in the box and is a M2 v/s a ML2 and no civilian user guide or paperwork is offered.  Buyer beware.

Wow it kind of looked real from the pics, but if there is a possibility that it was stolen,  I'll pass.

I was looking at the same sight. There are two on there with the same picture from two different sellers. Also the cap for the battery is different than any that I have been looking at.

Nothing out of normal with the battery cap, it holds 2 batteries.  This was a common Aimpoint part on all of our issued CCOs.

Looks real.
White .mil box is something to stay away from.
