For an AR pistol build, which is the better option, a pistol tube kit like the one made by ACE Ltd. , or using an entry stock kit without installing the actual stock and using a set screw to retain the pushpin detent spring? Thanks, Karl |
| The ACE pistol kit uses the exact same tube as on the ARFX entry stock. I know because I got one before ACE ever came out with the pistol kit and they put two "kits" together for me using those parts. A few months later they came out with the pistol kit using the exact same parts only charging $10 less than they charged me buying it on a piece by piece basis, and I bought two of them. I should have waited for the kit, only thing is the batteries in my crystal ball are dead and I didn't know that in two or three months they would have a kit out! |
