Hi, Who makes the best lower/upper receiver out there? I'm planning on building an M4 and only want to use the best materials. I'm also looking for any recommendations on barrels and other parts. Thanks and Happy New Year |

Quoted: Who makes the best lower/upper receiver out there? I'm planning on building an M4 and only want to use the best materials. I'm also looking for any recommendations on barrels and other parts. On an AR, the single most important part in terms of function and reliability is the barrel. I recommend a quality, chrome-lined barrel, which means either Colt or Bushmaster. After that, the rest of the parts really don't matter all that much. |

I am very pleased with the Rock River Arms lower receiver from Eagle Firearms, Chris is a good guy to do business with, to go with that I got my kit from M&A Parts, excellent products and service from both companies. I agree, the barrel is the big part, get a chrome lined Colt, Armalite or Bushmaster. I don think any of the big name receivers will have any problems. Here is a reasonably priced receiver: http://www.carricozarmory.com/index.html The few I have seen were nice and I have not heard any complaints even though they do not have a "big name" on them. |
