Blue force gear has one they issue with the vickers sling. Simple aluminum loop (boxy, flat profile), with a small notch cut for compression and a screw that keeps it located in a slot.
No issues using on a m16 for rifle qual or field use. Although I prefer the latter link for my duty rifle and m4gery. I have a Midwest industries clamp (rail) on that uses a GI style loop and pin. While it's well made, it seems weak compared to other options. BFG sling mount Colt M4 sling loop |

I found the wire loop by accident and really dig it. It's fairly pricey though for what it does. I also recommend simple paracord. Surprised that wasn't the first recommendation. |
