I'm looking for good recommendations for a midrange scope (<600 yards). This scope will go on a multipurpose gun w/16" barrel (more info on carbine). I haven't yet decided on variable or fixed power, brand, reticle, etc... Please post suggestions with some reasoning behind it. Keep in mind that this gun will be carried often and may be subject to some abuse... I'd like to keep the total cost under $2k which shouldn't be difficult. Thanks! |
Here is a Leupold MR/T M2 they are great for a mid range optic.![]() ![]() For a fixed power a USO CSGW-ST10 10x scope would work nicely. ![]() The EREK Turret has 45moa in one REV. and a zero stop. ![]() I do recommend a variable power. We have the above in stock. Mike @ CSGW www.csgunworks.com [email protected] Here’s some testimonials about CS GunWorks What do YOU have to say about CS GunWorks What Do You Think Of Cs Gunworks? I have an IOR Valdada 2.5-10x42 Tactical with the illuminated MP8 reticle. It is amazing. It is the clearest scope I have ever looked through, the clicks are extremely positive and consistent, passing the heck out of the box test, it's built like a tank, its cost is equal to or less than a Leupold tactical, and a good deal less expensive than a Nightforce (which I also have), or a US Optics. Here is the website with more details. www.valdada.com/vn/ior/03m Note: The MP8 reticle pictured intersects, where in reality all lines stop .5 mil short of the middle, and a very small, crisp dot is located where the crosshairs would otherwise have intersected. The illuminated reticle averages about 795, if I remember correctly, and the non-illum is 50-100 less, depending on where you find it. I would strongly recommend it. It is made in Romania, but the quality is phenomenal for the price. |
