[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Red Dot + Magnifier question.

So, I've never shot a red dot + Magnifier, but I've always been intrigued. I like the idea of a 5x magnifier. Thing is, won't this also magnify the dot itself? If I'm trying to get to, say, 200 yards, wouldn't the dot be huge over the target?

A 2moa dot would still cover 2moa on the target.
