I have a 16" standard carbine with standard FSB. I recently bought a 30mm red dot optic to put on it. I have a flat top upper. The dot hits my FSB so to not allow me to "dot" my intended target. What should I do?

What kind of red dot did you get? You might need to get another mount for it or put it on a riser.

Need more details, on sight and mount? Sounds like your mount might be to low.

ETA: Have you sighted it in yet?

+1 sounds like the mount is low (as long as your irons are sighted in).
