I currently have an Adco red dot scope that I have never used, the only RD I own.  I just bought it cheap from a gunshop.  I am looking into buying an Aimpoint in the near future for my AR. However, when I look through my Adco and move my head around the dot and point of aim changes.  Is this normal for red dots?  Can the Aimpoint Be used with the front sight for better accuracy and if so, what mounts work to do this?

Generally with an aimpoint moving your head around should not change where the round hits. Although I have a standard front sight and an lmt rear I do not use the frontsight when using the aimpoint, it is there just as a back up. You could ignore/turn off the aimpoint for target shooting, or I guess shooting at longer ranges where the 4moa aimpoint would be a problem-personally I am not a good enough shot for the aimpoint to ever have been a problem for me in the shooting I do.

The larue mount is the nicest one I have seen.

Are you closing one of your eye like when you use a scope?  Try moving your head around with both eye open and see if the POA change.  Anyway, it shouldn't shift too much if any.

The dot will "float" as you move your head. Does the same thing on Aimpoints, EoTechs, ect. From the looks of it the Adco sight is the same as the SPOT and Burris.
