[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Refinfishing question

I have a RRA flat top upper and a milled down steel Colt front sight.
Can someone direct me to a company that can anodize the upper and park the sight so that they are the same 'Colt grey' color?

Local refinishing shop says the black hard anodize on the upper will no allow anything else to stick. BS?

I can't help you with parkerizing, but if you want it painted ask [b]Brasspile[/b]. He uses all Lauer paints/clearcoats/etc, and the stuff is tough as nails.

I'll second BRASSPILE, you won't find a nicer guy or better work anywhere.

There was just a thread on this a few days ago. From what I got out of it, anodizing is for aluminum, and parkerizing is more for steels. Try to find the thread. There were some companies that would do the anodizing, listed there.

They will take care of your annodizing. They do a large amt. of military work. Their finish is Mil-spec. hard annodize and will match Bushmasters finish almost exactly... John

(edit) IF you want the current flat mil-spec black. Dont believe they do any other colors. They will do one off work as well as large batches. Give them a call...
