I just wanted a quick list of reliable mag makers (in your opinion of course). In the small town I live in there isn't really a large knowledge base on AW to pick form. The gun shops that do carry them don't really know much about them. I tried searching around (ARF.com and the net) but the answers varied too much.
So, if you would, please give a list of what you consider to be reliable mag manufacterers. TIA. |

Reliable:
Okay = Colt = NHMTG - current production, don't pay extra for the pony D&H = DSG - current production Center Industries - current production Labelle - no longer made Parsons - no longer made Sanchez - no longer made, must replace spring and install green or magpul follower Unreliable: Cooper - no longer made YMMV: C Products (my curved twenties are excellent, they're my main range workers, others have reported trouble, mfr. has reputation for making them right). Brownell's - some have reported trouble, mfr. has rep for making them right Junk: National USA Magazine Pro Mag Triple K |

Quoted:
Hey Uni-Vib the Cooper mags run well if you put some MagPul followers in them. I've been told there are 2 kinds of Coopers. (1) ones that are in spec and just need new springs and followers, like Sanchez. (2) ones with too few spot welds on the body––these are out of spec and must be thrown away. I had some Sanchez, looked to have the right number of welds, I replaced springs and followers and they ran fine. I sold them to NY shooters for new mags. |
