Hey guys wasnt sure where to put this because Ive never had a question on anything but AR on the Board but here it goes.
I have a Remington 600 "Mohawk" NOT a 700, It is a 20" barreled .308 rifle and is basically a scout rifle. However It does not have a scout scope mount I dont like those( personal Prefference) anyway. Id like to put a Picatinny 1913 Rail receiver mounted on it so I can interchange scopes using Armalite 1 piece scope rings/ base. Anyone know if it takes the same bases as a 700?
And what would be a good base for light use, hunting in the NO MORE Than $50.00 range, give or take a little?
thanks

The Leupold catalog lists the Mk4 one piece short action as fitting a 600/660 Remington.  It should mount to both of the front two holes and the front hole of the rear set, just like on a Model 7.  The Leupold standard one piece base has three holes and fits the Model 7/600 and 700.  It is out of your price range, but if you get one of the lower priced options like a IOR, it should work too.  If you get a one piece base with four holes just cut off the rear section where the fourth hole is.
