RRA's advertises a removable gas block for $45 w/weaver rails. Is there something special about how it installs/removes?  Can't you remove any gas block?  Will it fit an M4 profile barrel? I have one of those fake press on flash-hiders that slips over the barrel to remove first just to get the old site off.  Is this a job for a smithy or is there an easy way to pull off the press on?

Any related advise is appreciated.

Thank all of you out there that have & are serving our Country.

most of the after market gas blocks either use set screws under the block or clamp on with screws. Both types are easy to install just make sure you line up the barrel port to the port in the block. You'll have to measure your barrel O.D where your gas block goes. Standard A2 barrel is .750. Your biggest problem will be the muzzle brake some are soldered some have a blind pin. You'll probably need a smith to take a look at it. I have Armalite steel clamp on blocks on 2 rifles and they've worked out very well.
