| Have a complete RRA lower with an A2 Stock, which i think has some kind of threadlock on it. I would like to strip this and replace it with a carbine stock, but I am unsure how. Any suggestions? |

A2 stock removal: remove top buttplate screw, slide body off (watch for spacer behind tube). Remove tube with proper tool. When removing stock and tube watch for buffer detent/spring and takedown spring/detent. |
| RRA uses threadlocker on their carbine tubes so I wouldn't be surprised if they do it with the rifle length tubes. The good news is that it's easier to remove a rifle length tube with threadlocker than a carbine tube. Clamp the receiver carefully in a padded vise and unscrew the buffer tube after removing the stock. Unscrew top buttplate screw and slide off the stock thereby exposing the wrench flat on back of the tube. Unscrew the tube counter clockwise (while looking at it from the rear). Be carefull because the takedown pin & detent and spring will often slip out once the tube is removed. |
