[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Removing Charging Handle Latch Retention Pin

Hey guys,

What's the best way to remove the retention pin that holds the latch in place on an AR charging handle? I'm having a bear of a time getting mine out so I can install a PRI military latch. I've tried the flat end of a small drill bit, a small Allen wrench, etc. I'm leaving for the sandbox this weekend and want to get this done - thanks a lot!

A set of good punches is not very expensive and can prove invaluable at times.
