Do I need a barrel vice block to remove a flash hider or can I just use the upper receiver action block? Thanks MC.

As long as it's not pinned, or welded, or spun on by the Hulk, you should be able to pull it off holding the rifle between your knees. Or at least that's how I took mine off when I went to my PWS FHC556. It was torqued on there pretty good, but I got it.

tsc007 Thanks for the reply. The flash hider was installed by Rock River when I ordered the upper. Would like to install a Phantom Flash Hider and want to do it correctly. MC

You should just be able to twist it off with a wrench and your two hands.
