[ARCHIVED THREAD] - Removing Front Sling Loop

This may sound like a stupid question but, How do I remove the front sling loop. I bought a Harris bipod for my AR and now the front loop is in the way of the bipod legs.

Drill out the head of the pin. I want to say it's a 1/8" bit, but check the size first.

It's really not necessary to drill it out.

A small punch and hammer is all you need.

Yup - for most sight bases, you can just punch out the pin.
