Is there a "How To" somewhere that can show me how I can remove my aluminum free float handguard?  I am wanting to take it off so I can refinish it, but am not 100% sure how to do it.  Another question, does anybody know where I can get a 1" stock extenstion for my A2 butt stock?
Thanks in advnace for the help.

check the tacked threads in the build it yourself forum.

which freefloat do you have? think brownells sells the stock extenders.

I checked the "build it yourself thread" and I am still uncertain.  I have a RRA flat top upper with the standard aluminum free float handguard.

either its a two piece or one piece

two piece use a strap wrench to remove the handguard section itself.
one piece either a strap wrench or something like the dpms handguard tool which inserts into the bbl nut from the rear.
