Can Moly Coat be removed Chemically without hurting the Anodized surface below? WIll some kind of Paint remover work? |
|
I am told that blasting is the only way. The Norrell's instructions say it will survive 24 hour immersion in the following: commonn fuels, gun solvents, oil, paint remover, nitric, sulphuric and hydrochloric acid, ammonium and sodium hydroxide and numerous other strong chemicals. |
Only if it hasn't been baked yet. Standard rubbing alcohal immersion and a soft tooth brush will take it off. Just dry it when done and oil it up so the anodizing will return to normal color. Otherwise blast and anodize. |
