So whoever said rockset doesn't hold is crazy.  So I am trying to remove a gas block that i rocksetted and it won't budge,  I am soaking it in water now but does anyone have any other suggestions?

what kind of gas block? where did you put the rockset? And why?

I have used it on my suppressor QD flash hiders but only because I don't want them moving even a hair (worried about can).

For those, I just use a bit of torque on the flash hider to remove it. Takes a lot of torque but it finally gives.

If you put it on some screws used to clamp or set on the gas block, I couldn't imagine how to get them out. I would guess they would strip way before the rockset was broken. In that case, I would drill them out.

Or did you put it between gas block and barrel? in that case, some heavy torque on it with barrel in a vise would be what I would try. Good luck!

It's giving you that much trouble?  I haven't had to take my gas block off, but I also use it on my scope rings, they come loose with no trouble.

I am not familiar with the properties of rockset, that said, loctite red, will give once heated enough.  I had to remove a loctited' gas block, it was a muther but I heated it with a heat gun ( torch will work but be judicious)  and after a bit it gave. Go slow , be patient.

Hot water should do it.
