I am looking to buy an aftermarket replacement trigger assembly and can't make up my mind as to which one. I don't mind if it's a two stage or not as I am used to them. What is a decent drop in trigger for a good price. Or should I go with new parts and install them myself. My trigger on my Cot is a little creepy. Thanks for your help.

I'm partial to RRA's two stage.  I have them in both my middy and A4.

For a combat 2 stage(no adjustable with 4.5lb. pull, I like the CMMG. For a target trigger at a decent price, the RRA 2 stage is decent, although mine broke at 8000 rounds.
My CMMG with brass bushings has over 12K with no problems.

SSA or SSA-E

I have a Timney and an SSA-E.   Both are really good.   I've tried the RRA and I think the SSA or SSA-E would be a better choice.

Everytime this pops up the SSA and SSA-E are the most recommended so I bit the bullet and ordered one myself today.  Can't wait for it to come in.

Most recommended for a reason! I use a DMR on my SPRish rifle and SSA on everything else... worth every penny if you shoot a lot.

I have a Wilson Combat Tactical Trigger Unit and it woke my rifle UP!!  Best trigger I've ever had the pleasure to pull, I will use them in all my ar15's when I win the lottery.  (they are $250-300)

SSA-E would be my pick.

Good luck!

Any geissele product will suit you well.

Plus, if you are an unlucky person like me and your trigger does have a problem, they will ship you a new one or new parts for it, no questions asked. Hell, I didn't even call them up, the owner posted in my thread, told me what was wrong with the trigger, and promptly shipped me a new disconnector assembly.

I went with the geissele high speed service rifle trigger which I put in my rifle for NRA high power. You will not find a better trigger pull than this trigger. It is amazing.

My friends have some of the various non-adjustable geisseles, and I found all of them to feel much better than the RRA two stage that was in a rifle someone let me borrow for high power once.  The only triggers that are better than a geissele SSA is the geissele high speed.

They do cost more. But the better trigger pull and fantastic customer service  are well worth the premium. If this is for an SHTF/patrol carbine, I'd get the SSA. If it's for a precision AR15, but you lack the funds for a geissele high speed, I'd get the SSA-E. Very smooth, very light pull with little creep. If you want zero creep and the ability to adjust the pull weights, over travel and all the other stuff, get a Geissele high speed. I recommend the service rifle trigger since it almost feels too light to me as it is.

I had an RRA and one day I bit the bullet and got a Geissele trigger. I'll never buy another replacement trigger.

Absolutely the best addition I've ever made to my rifle. EASILYI.

Worth EVERY penny.

(Midway USA has one for $170 right now)
