I would first like to say, I need to become a paying member, the non paying search is wack. So I apologize if this gets asked often.
I have potentially found a very good deal one a complete 14.5'' ar. Only problem. It has and polymer lower. Lifetime warranty, yada yada. But I don't trust it. If I purchased a complete with a polymer lower, and bought a stripped lower to replace it. Would I run into any problems? Thank you all for all the help you bringing as I'm trying to get into my first AR. |

yes you shouldn't have any issues what so ever. what are the specs on the rifle? Also what are you planning to do with the poly lower? Hardened Arms upper (I know, I know). New Frontier Lower. I have no need or desire to have the poly lower. I guess I would "sell" it to whoever would take it. haha. |

Poly lowers aren't all bad depending what you want to do with them. |

OP I hope you got a good deal! |

be aware, if your plan was to swap out the parts in the poly lower into your new stripped lower, that the parts in the poly lower are poly as well.
the hammer and trigger for sure, and the safety. so if that bugs you too, then you are looking at another lpk as well. |

I feel like I am reading a post from Jan 13. This reads like it did when no ARs were available. OP are you getting an absolutely smoking deal on this thing that cannot be beat? ARs are deep and plentiful right now, if you look around. I have never seen so many complete rifles for sale used, or hardly fired. Good luck |

For those of you who have asked. I got a pretty nice deal on this. Even with buying a striped lower and a new parts kit, I will still come out ahead.
For my first AR I want to be able to have money left over to buy extra goodies. Down the road I will go the $$$ route . Until then, I want to have the wallet freedom to tinker around. |

Is this a 14.5" pin and weld or just a 14.5"? It's easier to replace a rifle lower than a SBR lower. Details are lacking. New Frontier LW-15s are GTG. Please explain. He's asking if it is a SBR'ed lower receiver, because the barrel length on the rifle is <16" (if it is not a pinned muzzle device bringing it to over 16"). I would assume that it is a pinned to 16" barrel, because anyone who would sell a SBR'ed lower on the cheap is and potentially ![]() , not to mention the questions behind SBRing a poly lower to begin with.

I have a preference for ATI omni and the newer Gen 2 OMNI poly lowers because they fit so nice to almost any upper I have and have reduced internal noise( click clack)
I have one lower I have drilled holes into to fit a slide on brass catcher.. (The thing is I run all my junk ammo with it) This lower and a cheapo barrel and so far -- after 50,000 rounds) has caused no malfunctions at all I look at like this- if Glock is good- a proper poly AR should be too. |

Came here to say this. I have a couple of LW-15's. One of the trigger pins likes to walk on one of them. Other than that they are a good deal. If I was in your shoes, I'd keep it. They are lighter, work, and have a great trigger. For HD I'd have an alum lower, but the poly is probably fine. |
