Hey guys, I'm in the process of finishing up a 601 build and snagged a great condition energa practice grenade on gunbroker ( original paint and no fins broken!) and now I'm curious if anyone is making reproduction front sights? John Brace seems to have other projects keeping him busy, so I'm curious if there are any other options?

Thanks.

Well, I did end up getting a Braceman repro flat. Has anyone bent one that can give any pointers?

Know anyone with an aluminum brake?  Anyone that does siding usually has one.  You can use it to bend your sight very easily with one.

Yeah, this would probably be best done on a brake. Although you could probably make a fixture, similar to what you'd use to bend an AK flat, to bend it. If I had my brake set up, I'd offer to do it for you. Just not sure when that's going to happen. Where did you get the flat?

I think using a brake for the side folds is pretty straight forward. It's when it comes time to do the center folds that interface with the fsb when it starts to get complicated for me.

Also there is a small hand held tool that I used to have, about 3-4" wide for small or complicated bends
