Is there any place that sells plastic repro triangle handguards?  I build a standard A2 with an Osprey piston kit and used a set of modified triangle handguards on it, 3 prong flash hider etc. It works great but the guards I used were nastly old looking ones and I'd like to replace them this winter. I did a search but haven't had any luck for repros and would rather find plastic vs fiberglass as I can modify it easier.

Not that I know of, in the past I guess they were abundant enough nobody thought it worthwhile.  With a new in wrap set worth $75-100 or more you'd think someone would jump on the opportunity.  You can find plenty of used ones in the EE for $30-40 but most will have finish wear and use.  Sometimes you can find them in excellent shape if not almost new for $50-60 if you keep an eye out, and check out the EE here, and Ebay, and Gunbroker.  Right sides you can get new in wrap for $5, but the left ones are what cost you.
