| Are there any companies that are making a light weight 16" 1:12 or 1:14 barrel? |
| Not that I'm aware of. Green Mountain is selling 1-12 blanks and Compass Lake had 1-14 blanks a while back if one wants to put in the work. With a few vendors stepping up to the plate with 1-12 LW profilerifle length barrels it's probably only a matter of time before carbine length are available to. A few reputable barrel mfg's have offered 1-7 or 1-9 twist 16" LW profile barrels for quite some time now. |

No FSB or gas port, and its in the white. The GM or ar15sport barrels are still available, right? http://shop.ar15sport.ihoststores.com/category_v3.aspx?categoryid=81 - There are two "pencil" barrels on this page. http://www.gmriflebarrel.com/m16-a1-5-56mm-20-1-12-twist-20-barrel - GM's are good. 16" lightweight barrels are harder to find right now. I don't see any in stock that are truly A1 profile. |

Don't want to hijack, but wanted to ask the hive -
What is the consensus re chrome lining and accuracy? I know it is great as far as anticorrosion and cleaning. But some state that in a non chrome barel the round "takes" the rifling better. Just curious, since the chrome option is an extra $50 on a couple of the retro barrels out there. |
