Georgia Precision is out of business, for good it looks like.  I googled Perma Slik and came up and contacted one company, but I didn't save the email.  I think it was $23 per can, plus shipping.  Do a seach on Perma SLIK G and Perma SILK G and see what comes up.

There is a guy selling Sandstrom, which is supposed to do the same thing.

Here is another thread on another substitute.

Just a little info on Permaslik or other moly dry lube sprays:

They are just that--a dry lube spray that will eventually wear away.  As far as I could see there are only color differences b/w Permaslik, Loctite, CRC, and other brands.

So, with that in mind--It would be just as feasible to go w/ another brand and save the money on trying to get the Permaslik.

What's not mentioned is that all of these products are ORM-D and require a hazmat fee--that makes Permaslik outrageously high.

If you have a  Grainger Supply Co. in your local area--head down there and buy either the CRC brand which gives the mags a grayish--od matte color for $7/can
OR
the Loctite brand that give the mags a dark gray matte finish for $12/can.

BTW,  I was able to give my mags ~2coats + floorplates for 18.5mags for a can.

You may need two cans...

Just saw that you are in GA--the manufacturer is in Peach Tree City IIRC.  I am not sure if they sell individually, but cases are 12cans for $119 case.

Eamil me if you need some - I bought a case to do some mags and only needed two cans. Will sell at my cost - $16.00 per can plus shipping. Thanks, Don

Yes, and if you will read the labels on the various moly dry lubes, you will find that most meet the same MIL spec, which is listed right on the can.  Go on, take a look.

Thanks for the info Jhill..... had been to their website many times and failed to notice that they are less than an hour away from me....... I feel so stupid........

Am going to call in the morning to find out how I/we (others) can go about getting this product.......  failing the availability of this, I am waiting for another Chem company to send me some info on identically spec'd DFL's for recoating mags.....

failing all of this (depending how complicated things become) I am going to the Grainger store Wed morning........ Already have 2 picked out, one is the Loctite product that has been mentioned, and the other is a Dow Corning product...........

This has been an educational experience...... who would have thought that the supplier for Perma-Slik would be right in their own back yard!?......

More on this drama later...........

Update:
Got the Loctite product from Grainger for some torture testing........ refinished 2 mags that were in desperate need of some finish work (they looked as if someone had a "few too many" and put about 3" of DFL on them)......

Method:
Cleaned the mags with warm soapy water and then scrubbed them clean using #0000 steel wool and acetone. I allowed them to air dry for about 1 hour and then placed them in an oven at 170deg F for about 1/2 hour and then immediately began applying very sparing coats of the Loctite DFL..... Into the oven (after about 1 hour of air dry) at 170 deg F for another 1/2 hour and then removed them to cool and finish curing (actually had to go to work) as needed for  about 24 hours......

Result:
finish is a lighter grey than I would have desired but so far seems to be durable and looks a lot better than the messed up finish on the mags prior to all the work I put into them... I will get some pics up if anyone interested in seeing the before vs after........

Thanks everyone for the advice and suggestions.......
