Looks nice, always wanted one. Did the original Port. charging handle go AWOL? When I did the sex change I modofied the lower reciever from Port to Sudan by grinding off the C-handle retaining hump and shimming the front pivot hole, this would be a correct 'transitional' configuration if I had the correct FSB, HG end cap and flash hider. I had two Sudan uppers that I sent in with the lower it was a test of US Anodizing to see if they could get the right finish on the 14 Sudan C-handles I had made. Turn around time was less than two weeks once he bid it and payment was received. Generally I'm pleased with the results the work I put in on the uppers to remove abuse marks and dents and such was time well spent. |

Nice work on the plastic! The brown color looks good. Is the plastic brown? or did you have to paint? Myself, I like waffles. But those DPMS mags do look good. Did you modify the safety switch positions to Sudanese? I was able to tint the polimer as desired so I could control the levels of brown, red and black. The safety was weleded on to get it in the country its a can of worms for another day, it works of fire and won't pull on safe in the traditional positoins. I traded for a Hollywood selector and thought it was for an AR10 but it turned out to be for an AR15 I guess my prototype will be really authentic. |
