A while back I got my second AR15 after having sold the first one because I need to cash it out for another project. Not long ago I got an A1 configured one built on an Essential Arms lower. It has the A1 upper but with a 3 prong flash hider (where they ever on the A1's? if no I have a birdcage on the way. So Back when I got it it had no finish left on it and having a can of British Black taking up space on the shelf I painted it then baked it for an hour at 150 :) Now my interests are changing and I want to paint it in something at least close to the original colors. I like the ease of use of Alumahyde but could live with Norells or Lauers, tho Wife won't like the abuse of her oven (another reason I like the Alumahyde, no oven cure needed) But which color to go with? Alumahyde Geez, I haven't posted here in Forever! It works out though, this Retro area is perfect for my tastes. |
On any nice weekend day, drive around a little. Every yard sale in America has a toaster oven for $5-10. In my state, you can't officially call it a yard sale unless there's an old cordless phone, one piece of exercise equipmnet, at least one Fisher-Price thing and a toaster oven. |
