Were drain holes added to early FSBs by armorors prior to the MP C Barrel being introduced. I was wonder if there was a MWO Program.

Barrel Drain Holes?  That seems like a profoundly bad idea. . . ???

I think he said FSB drain hole. You know....front sight base.......as in drilling the tap drill hole all the way through.......the tapped hole where the frt post threads in.

I highly doubt it. FWIW having a draian hole doesn't necessarily help - I have a C MP C Chrome bore barrel where the FSB rusted completely shut - had a hell of a time getting the sight post out.

In all honesty I'm not sure they were intended to be drain holes. If anyone knows better I'd gladly be corrected. My take on it is that it's easier/quicker cheaper to drill and tap a through hole than a blind one, and the hole was added for manufacturing purposes.
