Does anyone have an idea roughly of the timeline when the chrome bolt carriers used on the 601,602, early 604 models had a change in the carrier key? Also when the chromed bolt carrier used in the XM16E1 changed from chrome to the parkerized bolt carrier and bolt? Thanks! |

I don't know, but I am curious...it woudl be nice if we could geta timeline showing the transition of all the parts....hmm, maybe a weekend project for me if I can geta copy of Excel at home and can figure out how to inser pics... [ETA] If I were to take a W.A.G. I woudl say the mid 1960's, i.e. 65 to 66. when the E1 was adopetd...that seems to be when most the slew of parts chagnes occured. |
