I need to come up with $1100 by this weekend, and selling a few guns is the only way I'm going to be able to do it. I hate to, but It's gotta happen.here It's a Stag Arms lower reciever, and a 1964-1965 colt slick-side upper. It has an M16 bolt and carrier, the earlier stock that has 1 butt screw, m16a1 style pistol grip, C MP C barrel (perfect mirror all the way), brand new straight 20 round mag, triangle handguards and 3-prong flash hider. Most parts are USGI just the lower reciever, magazine, and the lower guts are new manuf. The upper and lower reciever were color matched with Brownells GUN-KOTE (matte grey). Overall finish is atleast 98% Also I'm selling it with a sling, plastic 30rnd mag, and one of those carry handle scope mounts. I AM NOT selling it here, and please don't PM me asking to buy it. I won't reply. I'm going to a gun shop locally tommorow to sell a couple guns for the cash I need. I'm just looking for approximate values.. Specifically, what's the most I can hope to get from it, and what's the very least I should let it go for? Thanks |

Sorry to hear of your problems. Good luck. Sad but true...the dealer will lowball you. Know that going in. If you had time to sell it you could get $650 for it. But he'll only give you ~$500-ish so that when he sells it at $650 he'll make some profit. And that is why he is in business...to make a profit. |

Alright, thanks guys. I'm going to start out asking $1300 for this AR15, a Ruger Mini-30 (very good cond. less than 1k rounds thru it), and a Russian capture K98k. All in all I think there's 2 slings, 4-5 magazines, 45 stripper clips, and a bayonet as far as extras go. Not going to go any lower than $1050 for it all. |
A package deal like this is frowned upon and will take along time to sell. Your wasting time if you need money. |

Kar 98k - $150-200 Mini 30 - $350-400 Retro AR build - $450-500 Those are the prices you could expect the guns to bring if selling seperately to individuals. Selling to dealers is hard because they will never pay market value, as they need to sell at or above market value to make a profit. I would advise you to sell them on the EE - they will sell quickly and you will get a fair price. |
How much did they offer you for the AR? I once brought in an all Rock-Ola, high wood, beautiful M1 carbine to a shop, and they offered me $200 for it. Needless to say, I wasn't THAT desperate. : ) |

it is hard to sell guns to a gunshop i manage one and i will not pay more than 500.00 for a ar15 because used guns make money for the gun shop. i have gone higher for customers who i consider regulars/ friends of the store if someone i did not know walked in to my shop i ask how much he needs and we go down from there ar15- 500.00 / colt possibly -- 600.00 mini 30 --- 250.00 dont sell well here mauser (any) 50.00- 75.00 the ar is good for quick turn around so you can make a little less money but move it quicker 20 inch guns dont sell well only carbines the other guns will move slower but i should be able to double or triple my money i dont know if this helps, good luck bill |

The supply of A1 uppers is good. A complete mid 70s teardrop Colt A1 upper with an arsenal replaced chrome barrel is worth about $320 with a decent bolt group. A brand new factory complete Stag A2 lower is worth $280. So $600 is a fair market price. I would expect gun shop offers around $450. You would do better to part out the upper and lower. The slick sides are probably worth more than the teardrops, but I'm guessing here. |
yeah, I would have given you at least $250 |
