No way it's one of those. There are actually two of those sitting outside at the Lake City airport.

It is a BD-5B...the Propeller version with the 21ft wingspan, not he jet powered version with the 17ft wingspan, but close enough.

A Cobra would be much cooler, but that rig is pretty sick.

Someone started it, then sold it to another person who did have time to work on it and needed to clear their garage so I got it for free.

God, I haven't seen a BD5 in years! I thought it was a Bd5J at first. What are you going to use for a powerplant?

I have no I idea...

I MAY build it up, prop it with the wheels of the ground, and then put a BIG flat screen in front of it (or three-F-L-R) and use it for a flight simulator?....Although wiring the gear, flaps, ect to the controller might be troublesome.

Now realistically, I will Try to build it as original as possible, with a proper engine if possible, but I WILL NOT be flying it, unless plans in future change, but I dont have a death wish.

It will make a nice display...

And I though I was the only one who collected useless shit just because it was cool... and it is definitely cool. Maybe you could put a motorcycle engine in the back, with the swingarm and a VW front axle and make yourself a three-wheeler sportbike.

I have worked on a couple of these in Colorado.  A couple of interesting facts about these is......There are lots of Kits out there that were never even started. I have seen two that were powered by BMW 750 Motorcycle engines, very slow, but they flew. Yours looks like it has the 5.5in stretch for the Honda Four engine.  I have seen one mounted on a bearing on a pole and acted as a weathervain....wind indicator at an airport.  Did you get all the canopy plastic with it..??
There are two companies that specialize in finishing these and getting them flying.
adios

IS that the bottom seat? Or does it fit under the seat?

I'm not sure I will be able to afford it anyway, after I send the $$$ for all those lower parts anyway,

Freaking A...If I build a 608 it will need a pistol lower...

I went to college with Corkie's brother, Terry.  Terry went on to fly F-15's in the Air Force.  Small world...
