So I've seen the reverse flash hiders that go on 16" Hbar's to make them look like an XM style barrel.

Does anyone make one of these that will also extend a 14.5" HBAR to 16"?

I think the Bushmaster one will.  Here's what I got from them in an email a while back about the dimensions:

The slipover suppressor is 5" long. It adds 1-5/8" to the length. It covers 2-7/8" of the barrel from the shoulder of the threads. The threads take up the other 1/2".

That would mean 14-1/2" + 1-5/8" = 16-1/8" = legal, if you could get it pinned/welded.

ETA: I have this one:  www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=529331, and it seems to have the same dimensions (hard to measure exactly from the outside of the FH).  So, the DPMS should work too.

I have a BM 5" slipover flash hider on a 14.5" Colt barrel.  It's just over 16" total.

Thanks for the replies... Good to know it will work.

Oh, I fogot to mention - the reverse/slipover FH is heavy!  Also, you can't use a normal bayonet with it (too fat for the ring).  Some people get surprised by these two things (like me, for one).    That's why mine is sitting in the parts bin right now... I'm not sure I like it.  Other than looks, it's kind of a bad idea (same flash hiding as an A2, heavier, and precludes the use of a bayo).
