I'm thinking of giving my Bushy a camo paint job. Will this have any effect on the value of the weapon?

Duracoat or other?

Pics of the gun?

A reason I've never painted my guns is because it kind of takes away from the modularity factor. Any components you want to sell separately in the future are going to have to be discounted a lot.

It will lower the value of the gun regardless of how it looks or who does it.  I always see painted firearms sit for much longer unless you find exactly the right buyer who wants that exact paint scheme.  Most people dont want painted rifles even if its duracoated in MARPAT.  People paint their equipment then try to sell it for full used prices.  But most people are not willing to pay for that because there will be an extra step in removing the paint.  Now if you refinish it in Norrels SOCOM black or something like that, that is different.

Painting a gun lowers the value to zero for me.

I have no interest in buying someone else's Arts&Crafts project.

This is just my humble opinion, I'm sure others will have different ones.
