| I did a search on EE for a flat top riser and came up empty. Can anyone tell me where I can find one for cheap? Just bought a red dot and my FSB is in the way and I need to get the dot over it. Any suggestions? |

Generally it's not a problem to have the front sight in the way IF the front sight rises to more than half way in the window. Any aimpoint type with a stanard AR mount will do this. If you're runing one of the $40 bargain basement red-dots that have the built in mount then I'd suggest a $20 riser that you can get at most gunshows. Kinda like this one: www.tapco.com/proddesc.aspx?Id=282a8f4a-0e46-427c-998d-7948d11b9018 "Cheaper than dirt " also carries similar mounts (one with a quick release lever for $55). The only problem I've found with these kinda mounts is they are so long they prevent the use of a BUIS. |
