| I was shooting at a nice 300 yard range when I saw un-spent powder on my right hand (I did not hear anything unusual since there were others shooting). Anyway, we checked the gun and found a round about 8 inches into the barrel. I was using quaility ammo. Questions: Why would this happen? Is this a frequent problem? What would have happened if I chambered another round? I have not gotten a straight answer to these questions. It was the first this happened to my Bushmaster. |

You had a Squib load, and had you chambered another round and fired it, the rifle would had blown up on you. This is the after math of a rifle that was fired with an obstruction in the bore. ![]() www.quarterbore.com/ar15m16/ar15kaboom.html |
