Hey guys, I just came back from the range and while cleaning my LMT complete 16" I noticed some rust on the barrel under the front site, the only place not parkerized on the LMT.  How do I go about getting the rust off?  I don;t know how to get the site off.  I was thinking of taking it to the range guys and paying one of them to do it.  I want to get it off asap after the holidays before it gets worse.  Any advice is appreciated.  Happy holidays.

Um, if the FSB isn't off, how do you know there's rust underneath?

I'd take a brass cleaning brush and some CLP and give the "joint" between the barrel and the bands of the FSB a light scrubbing to remove any rust. Then use a Q-Tip to apply some more oil/CLP to those joints. Wipe off any excess.

Yeah, it's between the FSB band and the barrel.  I'll give the brush a go.
