Well, sabre defence assured me that the brown I saw seeping out from under my FSB was blasting media. And I belived them. And guess what? They were right

I blasted some CLP and compressed air (from a can) under the FSB for a few minutes, alternating. The brown stuff became less and less. I went and shot it, repeated, no brown stuff. Apparently some CLP just worked under there and the expansion of the barrel in the FSB when heated up forced the now brown-tinted CLP out after shooting sessions. I saw it and thought "hey, what is this!?"

I am willing to bet a lot of "rust under FSB" "problems" others report are similar, assy lube or blasting media from some process. They just don't care enough to dig deep enough to question it.
