Hold out for a day or two and I can take some of mine.  Gives me an excuse to finally figure out how to post pics on here.  How close and what angles are you looking for.  Is there anything in particular you are wanting to see?

I know the SASS is an 18" barrel right...how far have you taken it? Wonder if it would make 1000yards?

Whats the spec on the ARmalite?

we only got it out to about 650,  good hits on bolling ball size targets,  would of went to 1K but we forgot our radios so judging impacts and ajusting was impossible, hopefully in the next couple weeks i get another oppertunity to go 1000, as the weather is starting to get crumby.

nice little rifle, innitially i wasnt too crazy about the DPMS, but it kept up with my ar10, fit and finish is good, overall i like it.

specs ar10
krieger heavy barrel 1:12 22inch/w Ops inc Break
DD 12.0 ar10lite rail
harris bipod with pod loc
JP adjustible gas block
knights 2 stage trigger
pri gas buster CH
US optics SN3 Tpal 3.2-17X/Badger rings
2nd gen ar10 mags

i think thats about it

hows that barrel with the heavier bullets.  also are you running a suppressor with the adj gas block, i didnt see a collar.  i have a jp block too, but havent drilled it yet, not sure if itll work with a suppressor.

i shoot 178 amax out of it almost exclusivlly and get half MOA out of it, with the barrel being so heavy no collar is needed,

i dont have a can yet, i am going to hold off for now, (full time student with limited funds),  the JP bock should be ok as thats what it was designed for

i wondered if itd run with a suppressor being gassed down, if i have to change it between being suppressed/not, im not adjusting the gas.

A friend bought a standard .308 DPMS rifle and loves it. Very accurate and nicely built.

I have a couple of AR10s I love but I think I am going to try the DPMS, I have heard nothing but good things about it.
Does the SASS come with a free float forend ? WHat Type?
And what does one of those bad boys retail for?

the ff tube is similiar to the yhm, maybe made by them.  just like pic above.  your probably better off getting a normal one and adding your own parts, unless you like the flip ups/grip/stock on it.  you can get the lr with a flat top upgrade, or ap4, depending on which barrel you want.

m4hk33, it looks like your ar10's gas block is farther down the barrel than the SASS'.  Is the ar10 considered a "mid-length"?  If so, any noticable differences in cycling/reliability?

Thanks,

the  ar10 in picture has a standard rifle length gas system,I am not really sure what dpms is running on theirs, i know that there carbines use a standard car length gas system, not sure what lenght there rifles gas system is

the dpms sass has an 18" barrel,  the 18" lr runs a carbine gas system the 24" lr a rifle length system.  im guessing car gas system for the sass.

yeah, i had it, it was a good mount, but since i was no need for a QD set up, i decided to dump it in favor of badger max 40 rings

I wouldn't get an 18" for 1000 yd. I used to shoot 1000 yd service rifle with a M14. If I recall correctly thats around a 22" barrel. 1000 yds is iffy with a 7.62X51 out of a M14. Most barrels will keep issue 173 ammo supersonic to a 1000, but not all. Some M14s start keyholing around 950. Depends on the individual barrel. I ended up shooting the 155 Sierra palma bullets. I'd definatly want a 26" barrel for a 1000.  M9

anyone ever chrono their rifles?

Is that a Magpul stock on the SASS?  From reading the descriptions of the Magpuls it sounded like they only made a drop-in model for AR-10s with an A2 stock. Is there a Magpul I can replace the Vltor stock with that doesn't require any "tweeking" to make it fit?

The AR-10 PRS works just fine on the DPMS .308 rifles. I have one mounted on my LR-308 lower right now. The DPMS .308s just use a standard A1/A2 buffer tube, so the PRS just slips right on and screws down. Takes about 20 seconds, no tweaking required.

You may want to buy a rifle length buffer and spring from DPMS if to plan to use a PRS to replace the Vltor on a SASS.
