I'm building a SBR with a 10.5" barrel. What are your thoughts on using a UBR stock?

I don't think there is an issue.
The stock doesn't care about the length of
the barrel.

Also, under Armory, there is a dedicated SBR sub-forum.

It is more of a weight issue than a function issue.
Thank you for the referral to the armory section. There is a lot of good info in that section.

are you going to suppress the gun at all?  The UBR would balance a 10.5 suppressed SBR pretty nicely.

If you're not and you don't mind the weight then it's not a problem, it will just feel a little unbalanced.

I thought about a suppressor and like the functionality but it's about aesthetics. I am going to install a Proto Tactical Z-Comp on the barrel.

I have a UBR, the prototype actually but its on an 18" SPR Vltor Noveske barreled upper. It is heavy, like others have mentioned, if your going with a 10.5 barrel than a suppressor would balance it out. Maybe get an extended free float hand rail were the suppressor is also covered halfway. And your barrel will be .750 so that helps.

This,

I think the UBR is heavy and ass ugly, but different people like different things

My preference would be a IMOD or B5 SOPMOD stock, but to each their own
