A couple years ago I made a 16in build and used a bushmaster lower and was very satisfied.
Now I am about to start a sbr build and money isnt really an issue. I am going to be using the 10.5 in noveske barrell in the vltor vis. I think I would like to use a sun devil billet lower, but havent heard much about these or any other options. What are some options you guys would suggest (price doesnt matter)? thank you. |

They're all good. Your choices are excellent. One thing to consider before using any monolithic upper though. What happens if down the road a bit you want to change the handguard type or length? Then what? Buy another upper?
If you are like most of us what you build now will not be the final configuration you end up with. Remember, if you are jumping on the mono-upper bandwagon because that is the flavor of the month now, what happens when todays flavor of the month is next years Spam? Of course, buying another upper and starting over is not that big a deal. Uppers are cheap but those mono-railed uppers sure as hell are not. |

big bore- I see your point, I might just stick with the noveske barrel without the vis then... llamanator- I plan on supressing it a few years down the road, but idk about a peq-15/2 anytime soon 
Im thinking the sun devil will be the lower of choice, with maybe a larue or vltor upper. I am a big fan of larue rails so one of them is going on it. Optic will be an aimpoint micro t-1. Stock will be either sopmod or ubr. I am really putting a lot of thought into this build, and researching as much as I can. Feel free to make suggestions on my ideas. thanks again for the help |
