I asked in the class3 forum but haven't gotten an answer yet so I thought I'd try here- when registering a SBR, is the reciever the registered part or is the whole gun logged at the time? In other words, could I register one AR lower and have short uppers in both 9mm and .223?
Just curious at this time, but the gears are turning......

The receiver is the registered part....

However, having extra short barreled uppers around when you have other non-pistol AR15s can be a potential legal issue if discovered.
