I've really been needing to supplement my anemic mag cache, so I've been perusing the EE, pricing up new, figuring shipping for all the methods, etc.... and then, I found a guy in my local ad pad wanting to sell some mags.  All are used and in varying states of wear.  Some have pretty worn finish, but all cycled and dropped free perfectly.

Most have green followers, I think only 4 have the older black followers.

14 are Okay,
4 are Center Industries,
2 are Sanchez Ent. Mansfield, OH  circled "DSL" emblem...  never heard of 'em
1 is La Belle Ins. Oconomowoc, WI  (black follower)
1 is FN Mfg. Inc. Columbia, SC (black follower)

The guy originally wanted $10 a piece, but, I ended up taking all 22 for $175, so ~$8 a piece.

I know I didn't get an Earth shattering deal, but my cache is growing and I'm still happy :D

I figured I'd get my toes in there while I was at it, too

if it was me, i would have paid the extra 2$ and bought new D&H, Cproducts, or OK mags...

If you notice, the mag at the bottom far left stands out quite a bit from the others.

I just finished going through and cleaning all of them, and checked this one out a bit closer.

It is, like I said, an Okay Ind. from New Britain, Conn with a manufacture date of 9-91.  The rest of them are all 02-04 manufacture if they're indicated at all.

Now if my brain is operating correctly, I'm thinking this one is a pre-ban mag.

I don't want to rip someone a new one, but if this is a pre-ban...  is it worth bothering putting it up on the EE?  Or rather, would it be worth enough to someone in one of "those" states to buy it plus shipping?

I've heard stories of folks buying up pre-ban stuff at decent prices just to grossly inflate the price to those unfortunate people, but I don't want to do that.  Maybe just a little inflated, otherwise I'd just throw it in the safe and keep it for myself

I figure even at $2 each savings...  that's $44 across the board I can put to ammo

Well,,,  errrr....     that WAS $44 I just put towards ammo.  Just ordered a case of Prvi from Widerners

I have a few Okay and Center mags..  They all function just as good as my new ones.

i meant no disrespect in my prior post, any mags purchased are good, so long as they function and you did not pay super inflated dealer prices.
i would post on the EE with the preban for a eaven up trade. have the preban state member buy you a new mag and ship it to you, then you ship the mag you have to them. or vice versa.
you get a new mag, and the ar15.comer behind enemy lines gets one more mag to their much smaller collection

Is a good deal, no matter how you slice it. All you can do is get them refinished and install magpul followers and chrome silicone springs and finish ei wit either L-Plates or Ranger Plates.
