I have 2 colt 6920's and they are both short stroking, the bolt lugs run into the brass and dent it as well as bending the nose of the bullet and top of the case.  It is trying to feed the next round and this is what happens.  I have used every type of ammo there is and I am using HK mags exclusively.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

That may be the problem. Try some standard GI mags.

Sounds like you have a leak somewhere in the gas system.  Check the bold carrier to see if the key is tight.

I highly doubt that both of his 6920's have a leak somewhere.

Look at the common denominator, he is using HK magazines exclusively and both rifles are malfunctioning the same way. The HK mags are notorious for having weak springs that cause this type of malfunction.

DO NOT mess with the rifles yet. Go the cheap route first and buy a couple of GI mags for less than $20. Make sure that you lube your rifle and BCG. I bet the problem will go away.

agreed, this is a known issue.
