Ok, this is the second order I've placed with SOG Armory, and both orders were screwed up. In the first order I ordered a TAN single point sling... they sent a BLACK one. I called them, and they said my options were to buy another one, or send the black one back at MY COST... and then they'd send me a tan one. I just ordered a tan one and put the black one in the closet. In this order, I ordered this: http://www.sogarmory.com/ProductDtls.aspx?id=102632 What a pile of garbage. Of the four clamp screws that are suppose to hold the light, 1 was missing and 1 was rounded out, so you couldn't get a hex key in it. Then, to top it off, it is not a 1" mount as advertised... it is a 30mm mount! I didn't even bother calling SOG this time. They had two chances, and they will not get a third. I'll probably fix this mount and stick it on my nephew's airsoft rifle or something... but no product from SOG will ever touch my AR again. Give your money to companies that deserve it guys. Steer clear of SOG Armory. |

I had the same problem with them on a scope i bought. the 1 hex was cross threaded and another was rounded out. I call and spoke to them and i even brought it to a gun show in Reno Nv they were at with the recipt and he was no help there as well. They were very round about and in the end never got anything resolved. their claim was i over tighten and cross threaded it. when it was shipped to me that way. |
| I am not condoning my behavior or suggesting any one else buy from there but for me on that day it was easier. They are not deceptive with their pricing and I knew I was paying a little more for what I was getting. I will definately be looking at and obtaining product from other vendors in the future. Just sharing my experience with them. |
No, SOG Armory is here in Houston, and they are just about the last place I'd spend a buck (although that would cost $2 with SOG). |
I tried searching this site to find something on them, and didn't find anything... So I ordered. Had I known then what I know now... It would be different. That's exactly why it would be nice if the ENTIRE forum could be searched... and not just 1000 threads. Or even just have a "naughty list" of poor places to deal with. |

I've always found their manner of interacting with customers to be a little.....odd. Sorta funny gun show story: Since they don't respect their customers enough to actually put prices on many of their items, you have to ask them. Apparently they sized me up to be a complete moron, as they quoted me $70 for a well-used FAL pistol grip cleaning kit. Other dealers sell new ones for less than ten bucks.Their rifles sure are pretty. Wonder how they manage to atually sell any, though. |

Visa / Mastercard only allows a certain percentage (3-4% if I can remember correctly) of disputes before they pull their services from vendors. If you have a legitimate dispute over an item that you've purchased using Visa / MC you can dispute the charge, or give the vendor (SOG Armory in this case) an opportunity to rectify the issue. Unless they're complete idiots, they don't want Visa / MC to revoke their ability to accept credit card charges. |
