I just got a Viltor and it's awesome. It comes with storage compartments and costs less than half as much as the LMT Stock. When collpased, the buffer tube is at the very end of the stock. (3/4 inch shorter) There is also no wobble. I got it here |
| Buy one! Worth the expensive price tag IMHO. Sturdy construction & locks up almost as tight as the CTR. The included butt pad is nice too. The VLTOR is ok for the price, but doesn't come with the integral butt pad & the spaces between the locking notches on the storage tubes can pull facial hair. |
If Magpul can get the UBR out for $250, and Vltor can get their's out for a pinch over $100, I'd call $125 a fair price for the LMT. I bet their profit margins are enough to make even Bill Gates' head spin. ![]() I like them, but I can't think of any other AR product that I think is so blatantly over priced. |
DAMN HighStrung! I've named my M4 after my girlfriend at the time during my last deployment cause it was short, sexy, always there for me and always lubed up and ready to go but damn man I never could have worded it like you did! I gotta get me a SOPMOD for my LMT!

Not as long as your tube is mil-spec. If it is milspec, then you simply slide the old stock off the tube and slide on the SOPMOD. If your tube isn;tmilspec, then yes, you will need to replace the tube with either a CMT, LMT,or colt reciever extension (bufferr tube). I personally love mySOPMOD stock. Fit perfectly on my CMT reciever extension and is perhaps the most comfortable stock i've ever used other then an A1 stock. |

I have tried all flavors, and so far haven't found anything near as good as the LMT SOPMOD. I'll wait for the Magpul UBR to hit the market in about 87 days before passing final judgement, though. The LMT is a bit pricey, yeah, but when you put it to use you will not second-guess your choice. |
