Fellas, I am a cop in Texas. Post here occassionally. The PD has an SP1. Light weight barrel, recoil lug, standard butt stock, no forward assist. Great condition. Also have an AR15 Sporter II (lug, standard buttstock, tear drop shaped forward assist lever, HBAR). Great condition. Pre ban guns. We don't care about the collector status although we are aware that others do. (The city owns 'em and we couldn't get them for personal use if we wanted them). We are looking to trade them for some standard flat top ARs (cLones) - 16.5 bbls - brand negotiable - Colt, Bushy, Armalite, RRA whatever that we can use day to day. Problem is ... we have to trade 'em to a dealer or another cop agency to stay legal. Thought some o' you serious AR guys could maybe help spread the word or know somebody that would do some trading. Any idea how much we could get for 'em? How many of theirs for ours? Who might want to take a look @ 'em? Who is squared away to deal with so we all don't get jammed up with ATF?
