I might be checking out an early model AR-15 tommorrow.
All I know is the serial number starts 01 . Might be an a2 sporter.
I have seen it in the past, but dont remember its marking.

Print the SP1 serial number range and take it with you.
Are you thinking about buying it or just browsing?

It is not the rifle I was expecting.

It is a A2 rifle with the screw on pivot pin.
A2 grip, stock, barrel, etc.
Flat top with crary handle.. I think
No bayonet lug
The BCG is shaved on the bottom and the firing pin is unshrouded. (I dont like these kind)
It also has one of those red rubber things under the takedown pin. Looks glued in or fitted somehow.
I think it was labeled competition somewhere.
Unfired, in the box with the tube in the barrel still.
It has 2 20rd mags and a sling. The sling does not have the tri-glides like you normally see.
Also, the cleaning kit was gone.

The owner had some health issues and has been ill for months. He used to work the local gun shows. His family is trying to figure out what do to with his stuff.
It has #2500 on the tag.

I wish the guy gets to work some more gun shows.

I need to find out what the gun is worth. My friend has no AR-15. However he wants one and will sell this one if he can get a good price for it.  I suggested he keep it. It has got to be an accurate rifle.
