Can't help but think that the price is to high, maybe I,m just cheap. Would this be a decent buy?

Not really out of line... maybe just a tad on the high side.  You see them in the EE from $100 to $150, typically.  Complete A1 uppers (minus B/C/CH) run $200-$300 depending.

Just depends on what you need.

I can find them still new in the wrap at our local show in the 180's....

It might be worth jumping on the auction and seeing if you can get it for $100-125, I would consider that a good price.  The "buy now" price doesn't seem that wonderful to me for a 30+ year old surplus part.  Of course, I'm pretty cheap myself....

Bought a brand new milsurp A1 barrel last year, iff the EE section on this site, for $125, shipped. And that included the HGs, flash suppressor, and all the pieces at the back.  Only needed a gas tube and pin.  Now, given the end of the AWB, prices may be up a bit; but his "Buy now" price is off the wall
