What is the value of a near new SP1 its a 1977 as the numbers say. My buddy just came in to one that looks very nice, I would say less then 100 rounds total, if not less. The finish is 100% as is the gun, its all original. I have seen them around but dident know what to tell him when he asked what it was worth, so I am asking you guys. He plans on selling it, but needs to know a fair price to ask.

What Colt collectors are paying.  Less for non-collectors.

SP-1 (R6000)
Mfg. 1963-84.

Excellent to Fair Condition - All Original (no mods)
$1,800 to $1,000

mm34b,

Going rates are much lower from what I've seen.  Great condition is roughly $1,000-1,200 with good shape for $900-1100, and regular used ones are in the $800 area.

I do a search on SP1's everyday on gunbroker.  In general four digits go for $1,500, low five digits go for $1,250, and high five digit  & six digits go for $1,000.  Have noticed that the last two four digits were in the $1,750 range.

A $100 to $200 difference would be a disagreement.
