| all above is correct. you also dont need a special carrier. just the bolt is unique to 6.8. it seems many places charge more for a 6.8bcg as opposed to a good carrier plus a 6.8 bolt... ARP sells 6.8 superbolts for 90 shipped when in stock... they are as good as it gets. I just use my 6.8 superbolt in my LMT carrier from my 5.56. My 6.8 is only for hunting and I dont need my 5.56 at the ready while im not there to use it. I also share a lower so it works for me. plus... my wife thinks it makes me smart to have a modular system. She doest need to see several complete rifles laying around wondering how much I spent or why I need so many..... |
